Headed by His Royal Highness the Crown Prince The Board of Directors of the King Salman Park Foundation Appoints Tanasijevich as Chief Executive Officer

Riyadh, Saudi Arabia:

The Board of Directors of the King Salman Park Foundation, chaired by His Royal Highness Crown Prince Mohammed bin Salman, Prime Minister, appointed Mr. George Tanasijevich as Chief Executive Officer of the Foundation. 

Mr. Tanasijevich has 20+ years of experience in real estate development, financial management, legal affairs, and the development of recreational facilities. He served in several executive capacities including Managing Director, President and CEO of Marina Bay Sands, Asia's leading business, leisure and entertainment destination that features Singapore's largest hotel and the Sands SkyPark and iconic infinity pool; Managing Director of Global Development for Las Vegas Sands Corp (LVS), a world leader in developing and operating international, world-class integrated resorts; Director of Development of the People's Republic of China Special Administrative Region of Macau; Senior Vice President Equity Markets at CapitaLand Ltd.; and Corporate Vice President and Senior Attorney of General Growth Properties (GGP) Inc.  Additionally, he was on the boards of The U.S.-Japan Business Council, Inc., Singapore International Chamber of Commerce and the Singapore Hotel Association.

Mr. Tanasijevich has an MBA from the University of Chicago Booth School of Business, a law degree from Loyola University of Chicago, where he was a member of the law review, and a bachelor's degree from the University of Michigan.

King Salman Park is one of Riyadh’s four major projects launched by the Custodian of the Two Holy Mosques, King Salman Bin Abdulaziz Al Saud in March 2019. Spanning more than 16 square kilometers, King Salman Park will become the largest urban park in the world and aims to provide a variety option to improve quality of life in the city. The park also aims to boost the global ranking of Riyadh amongst the “world’s top livable cities”.

King Salman Park construction is progressing according to the approved project implementation plan, which includes construction of several tunnels and bridges, infrastructure, power stations, the Visitor Pavilion, and the Royal Arts Complex.
