The Custodian of the Two Holy Mosques King Salman bin Abdulaziz Al Saud launched the "King Salman Park" project on March 19, 2019, at the initiative of His Royal Highness Prince Muhammad bin Salman bin Abdulaziz, Crown Prince, Prime Minister, and Chairman of the Board of Directors of King Salman Park Foundation under the implementation and supervision of the King Salman Park Foundation; With the aim of providing sports, cultural, artistic, entertainment, commercial and residential options for both residents and visitors to the capital, which will contribute to achieving one of the goals of the Kingdom’s Vision 2030 in creating a vibrant community whose members enjoy a healthy lifestyle and living in a positive and attractive environment, in addition to its contribution to the development of vegetation in the region by cultivating different species of trees and plants inside the park, as part of its active role towards achieving a sustainable Saudi vision.
King Salman Park, one of Riyadh’s four mega-projects, sits on an area that spans more than 16km2. Strategically located, the park will be easily accessible to many with links to several main roads, as well as being connected to the Riyadh metro and Riyadh bus network stations.
In addition to the vast green areas that make up the largest share of its area, the park will include a wide range of artistic, cultural, and sporting attractions, activities, and multiple areas of outstanding natural beauty for walking, together with commercial and residential areas. The most notable of the attractions will be the Royal Arts Complex and the Visitors Pavilion.
With these multiple options and other advantages, the park will become a unique destination for citizens, residents, and tourists, as it provides a new lifestyle that enhances the quality of life and enables its visitors to discover vivid experiences and live unforgettable moments.
